How To Set Up Your Trombone
When you open your case there will be 3 parts of your trombone: the bell section, the slide section then your mouthpiece will be tucked in a small pouch. The following steps will help you be successful on setting up your trombone.
Step 1: You must first clean your mouthpiece. To clean your mouthpiece you must spray disinfectant around the inside and outside effectively, then wash it all off with warm water. After you have done that insert it carefully into your trombone. Important to not ram the mouthpiece into your instrument but to slightly insert it then twist right a little bit.
Step 2: Set your case on the ground but make sure the case is right side up before you open it. If it is the wrong side up your instrument will fall out. A way you can tell if it is right side up is that the logo of the instrument case will be on the side.
Step 3: Take the bell section in your dominate hand and pick up the slide section carefully making sure the outer slide does not fall off the inner slide. Then insert the slide section in the bell section and tighten the lock part around the two until you can not twist the lock anymore.
That is all the aspects of setting up your trombone.
